I am a strategist, consultant and business leader with 15 years experience in helping telecoms operators and large enterprises thrive in an Internet world.
This is my personal blog. I want to help you think clearly about how technology is continuing to transform business. As a result, I write on the strategic shifts happening to the telecoms and technology sector. I am also passionate about making change happen, so write occasionally on leadership. My goal is to create insightful analysis and relevant content that you can put to work in your professional role.

I completed my Masters degree at Jesus College, Oxford. I then started my career as a telecoms strategy consultant, becoming a partner at Analysys Mason. I was responsible for selling, managing and delivering advisory services to players, investors and policymakers in the telecoms and technology sector.
I then moved to Cisco’s Internet Business Solutions Group (IBSG). I ran a global team of analysts, economists and consultants who engaged with CXOs of top Fortune 100 customers to drive business innovations by assessing the strategy, financial and operational implications of technology investments.
Most recently, I am part of a newly-formed group of senior telecoms strategy consultants & hi-tech industry experts. The Service Provider Transformation Group was created at the direct request of Cisco’s CEO and global head of sales. We are selectively deployed by these top executives at priority telecoms customers and use a consultative approach to develop winning strategies for our customers and for Cisco.
I am an Englishman living in France, a keen skier and an occasional guitarist, happy married and with two bilingual children.
My writings on this blog are my own views. They do not necessarily represent those of my employer.
